Berbere

The fresh vegetables sang in harmony as they simmered in the pot,

The spicy chili danced in the mix, igniting my taste buds with excitement,

The tilapia teased me with its sugary allure, tempting me to indulge,

Berbere welcomed me with a warm embrace as I poured it out from its habitat.

The oil melted slowly, whispering sweet nothings as it dripped down the pot.

In the suburb of Ghana, I was served kontomire and gari and it danced on my taste buds whispering promises of indulgence with each bite. The meal was as satisfying as a warm hug on a cold day

Over the shores of Kenya- the pride of Africa, Ugali served with vegetables greeted me with a smile, its aroma wrapping me in a comforting embrace. The meal tasted like sunshine on a perfect summer day.

Beyond the idanre hills, I felt the towering presence of the giant goliath of Africa through the platter of Iyan and efo riro, each bite sang a sweet symphony teasing my senses and begging for more taste. The dish was as rich and comforting as a cosy blanket.

In the summer, the rainbow of africa stretched its arms wide, inviting everyone to join in its colorful chakalaka, the flavors hugged me warmly, as if the food itself were inviting me to savor every moment. The flavors danced on my tongue like fireworks in the night sky

The gateway to North Africa beckoned to us, inviting us to explore the wonders beyond, as we approached, it opened its arms wide, welcoming us with a warm embrace through a platter of lablabi, the dish was as rich and comforting as a cozy blanket

In Kisangani, the heartbeat of Africa, amidst the ocean of tears and blood, is a platter with scoops of sakasaka garnished with meat and fish, a hearty meal shaped like a canvas painted with vibrant flavours.

In the four walls of Africa, a continent of survivors and warriors, the soil breeds spices of different flavours, spices that have birthed different species of delicacies.

Delicacies that match to the beat of our drum, food that stands tall refusing to blend into the crowd. Meals that whisper into our ears reminding us to be unique.

Delicacies whose music nourishes the soul,

The culinary artist, crafting masterpieces on our pallet

Delicacies, who serves as bridges that connect cultures and hearts.
